Take this, Apple. Google quietly released a new beta version of its Chrome browser, which not only blows its rivals out of the water as far as performance is concerned, but comes with half a dozen new features, including direct integration of Adobe Flash. Not a big deal for Google, apparently, but we were told Adobe was taking a deep breath, especially since Google is the popular new kid on the browser block.

Just when you thought Google’ Chrome web browser is untouchable and light years ahead of its rivals, Microsoft finds that Chrome does not excel in all performance disciplines. Hardware acceleration hands Microsoft a huge advantage at this time. If we believe one of Microsoft’s examples, IE9 can run heavy graphics more than 30 times faster than the latest Chrome browser.

Google today released a new public Windows beta version of its Chrome web browser, which comes with a handful of new features. However, the true improvement happens deep under the hood as Chrome 5 is substantially faster that Chrome 4, Safari 4 and Microsoft IE9 Platform Preview.
