Mozilla yesterday announced the roadmap for its Firefox Home app, essentially a crippled version of Firefox that was born because of the strict playground rules of Apple’s walled garden. Mozilla said that there will be no Firefox browser for the iPhone, period. The blog post caused quite a stir, but Mozilla’s decision makes sense. Firefox does not need the iPhone for its future. Similarly, the iPhone does not need Firefox.
