Google said that it is planning on releasing a new stable version of Chrome every six weeks, which is about twice as fast as the release pace today. The goal is to make new features available when they are done and to make Chrome releases more predictable. Has anyone complained that there were too few new Chrome releases?

Mozilla To Release Firefox 4.0 Beta 2 on Friday

Mozilla appears to be on track to deliver the second beta of Firefox 4.0 by the end of this week. Beta 2 will be focusing mostly on bugfixes and is showing about 33% less crashes than the first beta. Five more betas are planned to follow until the beginning of October. For those who don’t trust beta versions, Mozilla released a security update for the stable version of Firefox: Version 3.6.7 plugs security holes just in time for Blackhat.

Mozilla has reached an important Milestone as its new JavaScript engine “JaegerMonkey” is now faster than the current “TraceMonkey” in a key benchmark.
