Mozilla missed the release date of Firefox 4 Beta 2, but is expected to publish the official download early next week. The new beta will offer a few new features, including AppTabs, which will enable sticky tabs that cannot be accidentally closed. Google said that it is planning on releasing a new stable version of Chrome every six weeks, which is about twice as fast as the release pace today. Mozilla appears to be on track to deliver the second beta of Firefox 4.0 by the end of this week. Beta 2 will be focusing mostly on bugfixes and is showing about 33% less crashes than the first beta. Five more betas are planned to follow until the beginning of October.
