Google’s Panoramio team is asking Earth users to upload underwater photography to provide additional content when you dive beneath the water surface.

Weather information has been part of Google Earth for some time now, but the latest 5.2 update adds actual real time weather display with visual animations of rain and snow.

Google has become one of Google’s most prestigious and popular applications and its core functionality is now available via Maps in a browser window as well. What may seem to be a useless feature at first sight, as we already have satellite view, street view and the traditional map view already, turns out to have real value. Earth for Maps is more than just a toy.
