Wolfgang Gruener in Test Drives on January 17

The Audi A7: The Near Perfect Blend of Car and Technology

Rob Enderle in Test Drives on August 31

The Audi A7 is one of a number of Audis that actually has a named tech company behind its driver information system, NVIDIA, and it is the best blend of automobile and technology I’ve seen so far.   The A7 is pretty impressive as well and since it is designed to appeal to the young father who doesn’t want to give up his sports car and reminds me of the Aston Martin DBS V8 (just a little) in “On Her Majesties Secret Service” it is a near magical blend of practicality and fun. Given gas prices of north of $3.50 a gallon and the Caddy’s fuel efficiency of about 12 MPG, we quickly abandoned that plan and thought about an economic car instead: We chose the Chevy Cruze Eco, which we reviewed earlier and found to be capable of hitting 58 MPG in a rather unrealistic scenario. What MPG can you expect in the real world over the distance of almost 2700 miles?
