Chrome OS File Manager Gets Secret Shortcuts

Google published a handful of shortcuts for its recently launched file manager.

It isn’t much to go around yet, but it is not like that the file manager is very functional yet. There are three new published shortcuts at this time, in addition to two tabs that are much more useful now.

- CTRL+M: Open the file manager
- Clicking the same file twice, at least three seconds apart: Activates inline renaming capability for files
- CTRL+.: Shows files that start with a dot
- CTRL+O: Open a file from the file manager
- CTRL+S: Save a file using the file manager

If your Chrome OS installation is up to date, your file manager is available and you can give those shortcuts a spin.
