Imagine the business opportunity. Nintendo’s Wii Fit is claimed to be the reason for a woman’s newly discovered sex addiction. 24-year old Amanda Flowers claims she has sexual urges up to 10 times a day since she fell off the Wii Fit exercise board.

The official diagnosis is “persistent genital arousal disorder”, which is described as “intense feelings of genital congestion and sensations that are typically unaccompanied by any conscious awareness of sexual desire.” There is no detailed information on how and why  Flowers fell off her balance board, but I am somewhat certain that there will be quite a few people who would want the skinny on this accident.

According to the Toronto Sun, any vibrating device gets Flowers aroused: “Food processors, electric shavers, can openers, dishwashers, radios, several models of Toyota, tsunamis, you name it, the earth moves for Amanda, who is single. She really perks up if you call her cellphone.”

“It began as a twinge down below before surging through my body,” Flowers, who lives in the UK, told a reporter of her post-Wii-matic syndrome. “Sometimes it built up into a trembling orgasm.” And there is no cure, leaving Flowers with the only solution to try to control her urges by disciplining herself and “breathing deeply.” I assume live music concerts and other public events that are attended by lots of people are now a no-no for Flowers.

It appears that there is an actual medical condition that would outline the disorder Flowers is suffering from, however no price tag has been applied to possible treatment. However, a lawsuit against Nintendo is more than likely and we will soon see how much you can extract from Nintendo for the inconvenience of a persistent genital arousal disorder.
