If you just can’t decide which running boards you should get for the Honda Pilot you are planning to buy for your family, and you are stuck with the exciting online SUV configurator, here’s something more tasty: McLaren just published the Configurator for its MP4-12C supercar. Yeah, yeah, we know you may not have the $250,000 to buy this thing, but it is addicting to play with it. Promised.

Why can’t all car configurators be like this one? Carbon fiber diffusers and splitters, ceramic brake calipers, track tires, stealth black wheels, engine bay panels, super-lightweight exhausts, turning vanes … on second thought, forget that Pilot. I want this one.
Edmunds tells us that the MP4-12C will come with a 3.8-liter V8 producing about 600 hp, good for a top speed above 200 mph and a 0-60 time of less than 4 seconds. Oh, and it produces less than 300 grams CO2 per km, which makes it almost a green supercar. Pricewise, it might be a bit out of my league, at an expected base price of somewhere between $200,000 to $250,000.
