I got into OnLive last Friday and the service is amazing! I agree with the pricing, but I really like being able to rent the games cheaper than Blockbuster and without having to drive to the store. I'm usually done with a game after a few days anyway, so why pay $50?

So far, Onlive looks great. I have had access to the service for the past 5 days now, and have to say that I am Impressed. The graphics are awesome, and there is no lag whatsoever!

About time someone hit the nail on the head. I alos signed in at launch. I liked what the service has to offer, but the price points are way too high. I also expected a Netflix style service, paying a monthly fee to play the games listed.____In truth, Steam makes far more sense then Onlive does.

Senecal, that's great news! It sounds like OnLive is doing their job covering the non-technical stuff too. A good sign that they could be in this for the long term. :-)

I got Onlive last week.... I called Comcast and they removed my bandwidth cap for gaming services... everything else still adds up to my 250gb cap but Onlive wont be added to it. Im thinking all the talk Onlive had about contracts with all the ISP's has something to do with letting go of these caps.

I have spent a few hours using OnLive and it works quite well but I have a several reservations about the service.:

Although I have a 6Mb DSL service, it's nowhere near good enough for real time games.
Networks are just not reliable enough as there are frequent dropouts (even if momentary) which cause havoc.
My fairly high-end desk is powerful enough to run the games but not as well as a locally installed version. The difference in Assassins Creed, for instance, was too much for OnLive to be a viable option.
The more intensive games don't run on a netbook (wired to the router).
The business model is somewhat suspect; I was expecting a Netflix streaming type of service but having to purchase full price games (which you can't keep) and then play them online is not good value.

I know the OnLive technology will improve but I wonder if it can keep pace with game development. Even if it does, networks are the real weak point with speed and reliability (especially in the USA) being huge issues.

I tried OnLive last week and also had a great experience with minimal lag and surprisingly playable responsiveness. I tried it on both my current gaming PC and a friend's 4 year old clunker that barely managed to run it, but it was able to and it still played and responded well.

One concern I have with this and potential future cloud computing applications: bandwidth limitations. I wonder how quickly Comcast customers (and others) may find these types of services may use up that allocation. I'm using Verizon FiOS right now, so don't have to worry about that, but for all I know they'll go to tiered plans in the future too.

This concern aside, I'm having lots of fun in OnLive, and hope to get a lot more use out of it. (Feel free to friend me if you're in OnLive too: my tag is 'karmamule')
